Meet Tess — Owner & Creative Director

With over 15 years of experience across the hair and beauty industry, The Alchemy Studio is my heart’s work — a space created with so much love and intention. I wanted to build something more than a salon; a place where people can come to pause, breathe, and feel truly cared for. For me, it’s never just about the hair — it’s about how you feel when you walk out the door. My hope is that you leave not only looking radiant, but feeling radiant, aligned, and completely yourself.

The Alchemy Studio is the evolution of my journey from Trinity — a reflection of my own transformation and the deeper purpose behind what I do. It’s about merging energy, creativity, and connection in a space that feels grounding, beautiful, and alive.

I’m deeply passionate about colour, precision cutting, and treatments that bring the hair and scalp back to balance, but what means the most to me is the experience we create together. I pour my heart into every detail — from the energy of the space to the care in each service — so every client feels seen, supported, and renewed.

Meet Emily — Master Stylist

I’ve been a hairdresser for 15 years now, but the truth is, I knew this was what I wanted to do since I was 14. I’ve always loved the idea of making people feel beautiful, while also being able to express my own creativity. There’s nothing more rewarding than bringing someone’s vision to life and knowing I had a hand in that transformation.

My real passion is colour—any kind of colour. I love having the flexibility to personalise each look so it suits the individual, and no two are ever the same. Finishing it all off with a flat iron wave is one of my favourite touches 😍. More than anything, though, I want every client in my chair to feel comfortable, confident, and to leave feeling like their best self. Building relationships with my clients and creating that trust is what I value most.

Outside of the salon, I’m a mum to a beautiful little girl who is the light of my life. She, along with my husband, is my biggest motivation—I want to give her a life full of love and opportunities, and she’s the reason I keep striving to grow, even on the tough days.

Working at The Alchemy Studio has been such a blessing. It never feels like a day of “work” here. My boss has created a space where both staff and clients feel valued, heard, and understood—and that kind of environment is rare. I feel so lucky to be part of it.

What excites me most about hairdressing is how much the industry is always evolving. It means I get to keep growing too—learning new things, finding new ways to create, and never having the same day twice. My dream is simple: to stay humble, to keep loving what I do for as long as I can, and to give my daughter every reason to be proud. I’m grateful every day that I get to call this my career.

Meet Claire - Master Stylist 

I’ve been in the hair industry for 16 years now, and I still absolutely love what I do. My journey started from a love of creativity and a strong desire to make people feel good about themselves — confident in their own skin. Hairdressing has always been my way of expressing creativity through hands-on work, turning hair into a form of art.

My passion lies in ladies’ technical cuts and classic fine foils — I love the precision and detail they bring. I also have a soft spot for treatments; there’s something so special about giving someone a moment of complete relaxation through a beautiful scalp massage.

When someone sits in my chair, I want them to feel comfortable and excited — comfortable enough to tell me what they truly need, and excited for what we can create together.

What I love most about working at The Alchemy Studio is the people — being surrounded by empowering women who lift each other up without judgment. You couldn’t find a better salon culture if you tried!

Right now, I’m most excited about being part of something new and evolving as Alchemy continues to grow and flourish. There’s such a buzz of creativity and connection here, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it.

Our New Home

We’ve officially moved into our beautiful new space at Suite B, 306 Oxley Road, Graceville — on the corner of Long Street East. You’ll find our entrance on Long Street East, with customer parking available for your convenience.

Our new studio has been designed to embody the heart of The Alchemy Studio — a space that feels grounding, inspiring, and filled with light.

Please note: as we continue the final stages of our construction, our waiting room and front entrance are not yet accessible. For now, we kindly ask all hairdressing clients to enter via the side door, located under the patio of the tandem car park.

We can’t wait to welcome you into our evolving new home and share the magic we’re creating within these walls.
